About
Jyoti Bhardwaj

I belong to Delhi and was brought up in a warm, beautiful family. I learnt to nurture my aspirations, overcome my apprehensions and stay grounded to grow firm and strong. As culture conditions us all, I too developed my core beliefs observing my family members and their ways of dealing with circumstances. I realised the power of their most used phrases like ‘Koi nhi .. Sab theek hai .. sab theek ho jayega ..Bharosa rakho .. hausla rakho .. jo hai wo bohot achcha hai ..’ and some more, while working with deep seated conflicts, high anxiety, PTSD, and highly vulnerable population. I gradually understood the magic of such beliefs!

As I grew, I loosened grip on my safe anchors and decided to sail through the rough waters. Unlatching myself, I took the path less travelled by, where my re-introduction to the life began. Vulnerable section of the society, Divyangjan, differently abled individuals, their functional and special educational needs, children, adolescents, adults and elderly with mental health issues formed focus of my work.

Other than this, my work includes teaching undergraduates, B.Ed  & Masters Level students pursuing their studies in Psychology, Education  and Counselling. I am a registered Academic Counsellor for M.Sc programme in Counselling and Family Therapy, with Indira Gandhi National Open University, Delhi. I also undertake training seminars and workshops in Mental health,  Special and Inclusive Education.

I am a certified Psychologist, a registered mental health and rehabilitation professional with the Rehabilitation Council of India, Govt. Of India and a Certified NLP practitioner, certified by American Board of NLP.  A career of nearly  20 years in this field has been symbiotic. In addition to making a positive difference in people’s life, I feel more equipped to deal with my own feelings and my environment. Diversity is not something to be apprehensive about, rather it is a natural phenomenon to be cherished. It gives us purpose and lifts us from the monotony of stereotypes. Rather than fighting out the differences, let’s enjoy the uniqueness in each one of us!

There is diversity, there are differences, there are challenges and that’s what makes life more soulful, purposeful and dynamic for me.

Life
Is Dynamic and Beautiful
